Exports, TPNs and the poster

Everything that leaves Chesstide on paper or as a file: the printable tournament report, the FIDE rating report, SWAR files, pairing numbers, game PGNs and the tournament poster.

Rankings & results — the printable report

Rankings & results opens the classic tournament report as one printable page: the final standings, then every published round's results, then the cross-table. It's the document to hand an official, pin to the club noticeboard or file with the event — previously you had to assemble it yourself from the standings print view, one result sheet per round and the cross-table export.

The button sits on the cockpit Standings toolbar and on the public Standings and Cross-table pages, and opens the report in a new tab. From the report itself:

Print sends it to your printer — or to a PDF, through your browser's print dialog.
Download CSV saves the same three sections as a single spreadsheet file.

Only rounds you have published appear; rounds still being prepared are left out, so the page is safe to open mid-event. A QR code pointing at the public tournament page is printed beside the header, the same one the poster carries.

Visibility follows the cross-table: once the tournament is published anyone can open the report, and while it's still a draft only the tournament's own organizers and arbiters can. Simultaneous exhibitions don't get the button — a simul has no standings, no rounds and no grid.

Tip: The report prints the standings as they currently stand. If the Standings tab is showing the amber stale banner, Recalculate before printing — see Recalculating.

The FIDE TRF report

From the Standings tab, click FIDE Export (or TRF Export for non-FIDE events) to open the export page. Three steps:

Select FIDE Event Code — for FIDE-rated tournaments, pick the event code you configured in the Configuration tab; each code carries its round range and a Pending/Sent badge so you can see what was already submitted. Without event codes, you export by round range instead.
Player Review — all players are included by default. Players without a FIDE ID are exported with a blank ID field: your federation should assign them an ID before forwarding the file to FIDE. Amber badges flag what needs attention: No FIDE ID, Full birthdate needed (FIDE requires a complete date of birth to register a new player) and Not affiliated. Deselect only players who shouldn't be reported at all.
Preview & Download — Preview shows the TRF text; Download TRF saves the file to submit to your federation or FIDE.

Important: In team tournaments, every player on every registered team is included — per-player exclusion isn't available there yet.

SWAR export

Export for SWAR on the Standings tab downloads a ZIP with SWAR-compatible setup.csv and results.csv files — useful when your federation processes ratings through SWAR. Available for individual Swiss and round-robin tournaments.

Pairing numbers (TPNs)

The TPNs tab manages Tournament Pairing Numbers — the seeding order behind the pairings. Numbers are auto-assigned by rating, title, then name. You can:

Edit a TPN manually — it becomes locked and survives recalculations.
Unlock a number to return it to automatic assignment.
Recalculate Unlocked to reseed after late entries or rating updates, keeping your locked numbers in place.

Don't confuse TPNs with FIDE event codes: the TPN is a player's seeding number in this tournament; event codes identify the tournament to FIDE.

Game export (PGN)

On the Pairings tab, the PGN export dialog lets you pick games per round — tick individual boards or use a board range like 1-16 (your board selection is remembered per device, handy for electronic boards). Export selected downloads the games as a .pgn file.

The tournament poster

At the top of the Configuration tab, Print tournament poster opens a printable page with the tournament name, dates and a large QR code pointing to the public tournament page — tape it to the venue door and players reach pairings and standings on their phones.

Important: Publish the tournament before printing — the QR code leads to a page that doesn't exist until the tournament is public.
