Finding tournaments

All published tournaments are listed on the Tournaments page — no account needed to browse.

Browsing and filtering

Two tabs split the listing: Upcoming and Past. Open the Filters panel to narrow down by Name (search any part of a tournament's — or a series' — name, or of its organizer's name: "Namur" also finds every tournament of Royal Namur Echecs), Organization (start typing an organizer's name, then pick it from the list), City, Country, a From/To date range, Time control (Standard, Rapid, Blitz) and Age category, then Apply. Your filters carry across the Upcoming/Past tabs and pagination.

The tournament page

Click a tournament for everything you need to decide:

• Dates, venue and location, description, and the organizer's contact and website.
• Registration deadline and a live registration status.
• The format: participation mode (individual or team), number of rounds, time control, and the round schedule — times are shown in your timezone.
• Requirements: age or rating restrictions, team sizes.
• The Entry fee, including discounts, exemptions for titled players and any late fee.
• Prizes, and statistics about who's already registered.

Following a live tournament

Once the event runs, extra tabs appear on the tournament page: Participants, Pairings and Standings. They're public — players and supporters can follow results round by round from any phone, no account required. The organizer may keep the Participants list private, or publish it only once enough players have registered; the tab then shows a short notice instead of names. Many venues post a QR-code poster that leads straight there. From Standings or Cross-table, Rankings & results opens the whole event — final ranking, every round's results and the cross-table — as one page you can print or save.

Following a few players

At a tournament with four students, or with your own child playing, you don't want the whole pairing table every round — you want your people. Open any player's name (on Pairings, Standings or Participants) and click the ★ in the panel that opens: they join a Following table at the top of the tournament's pages, showing each player's colour, points, board, opponent and how the game ended.

The list is yours alone and needs no account — it's kept in the browser you're using, per tournament, so it survives a reload but doesn't follow you to another device. Click the ★ again, in the panel or in the player's details, to stop following. Up to 20 players at a time.

While a round is being played the table refreshes itself; once everything is finished it goes quiet. If you're signed in, the first time you open the tournament your own profile and any player you manage or entered are added for you — and can be removed like anyone else. Your check-in button appears on your own row.
